FUEL Youth Ministry

fuel logo

Wakefield UMC’s youth ministry invites grades 6th-12th to experience God’s love by building friendships and learning to live in community together. We encourage youth to engage with God and one another through fun games and activities, hanging out and eating together, and learning more about how to live like Jesus. We help strengthen youth’s faith journeys through interactive Bible lessons and small group discussions. We put our faith into action by serving our local community throughout the year.

FUEL on Sunday Evenings.

The Wakefield UMC youth meet on Sunday evenings in the Youth Space in our building from 5:30—7:00PM. Students participate in fun, hands-on activities, small group discussions, mission projects, and dinner is always served!

A series of classes designed to teach youth how to be faithful Christians and prepare them for confirmation and church membership.

We offer multiple retreats throughout the year, including Pilgrimage, a Middle School Girls Retreat, Middle School Boy’s Retreat, and Confirmation Retreat.

Mission & Music Night

We offer mission & music nights throughout the school year to give youth the opportunity to worship together through song and lead others using their musical talents.

WUMC Youth in Mission

Throughout the year we’ll go and serve together as the hands and feet of Christ in our local community.

Appalachian Service Project (ASP)

Each year our Senior High Youth travel for a week to the Appalachian mountains to serve our neighbors through home repair, Vacation Bible School, and more.

FUEL With Food.

Each family that has a youth participating in Sunday night Fuel is asked to help with at least one dinner per school year.
